New Starter at CRS Consultants

Louise Hough will be re-joining CRS Consultants after a brief time away from the Financial Service Industry.

Louise originally started with CRS in 1997 during work experience through her year at South Cheshire College. Louise joined the company full time in 1998 at which point she started working through a modern apprenticeship scheme and undertaking the Financial Planning Certificate exams as part of the modern apprenticeship.

In 2002 she joined Nelson Money Managers (now Close Wealth Management) where she started in their back office managing money transfers and during her time there, she became a qualified financial adviser, providing investment advice for numerous clients for several years.

In 2008 Louise joined Castlefield Wealth Management to help create In House Advice, which was an advisory arm to their business, specifically concentrating on providing financial advice to a large builder’s merchants. This included pension planning and transfers, seminars to employees of the business and retirement planning. This meant travelling throughout the UK including Northern Ireland.

At this point Louise had met her future husband and was planning their wedding when the opportunity arose to join the family business, Crafty Stitches and to have a family. Crafty Stitches had been part of the family for so long, it was an easy transition to make, and it also offered Louise the opportunity to briefly become a town Councillor for Northwich Town Council. More recently, she joined the board of the Northwich BID 2, where she helps to support and plan with the BID team to help make Northwich an amazing place to live, visit and work.

Unfortunately, in the more recent years with the pandemic and subsequent economic situation, the family made the heartbreaking decision to close the business this year. During all of the 24 years that Louise’s mother had owned the business, she continued to use CRS Consultants as her financial advisers, and it was during one of the meetings with CRS to close the business that a lifeline came the way for Louise to join CRS Consultants again.

20 years after first leaving, Louise is back to where it all started, with more experience in every aspect of her life and she is very excited to re-join the CRS family and restarting her financial services career.
